Eicher launches Pro-series in Uttar Pradesh
Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a 50:50 Joint Venture between Volvo group, Sweden and Eicher Motors, India. VECV has designed and developed a new range of advance trucks, which is going to change the Indian trucking industry. The range named as Pro series, has trucks, tippers, tractors of GVW varying from 5 to 49 Ton. In a recent launch at Lucknow, VECV showcased some of this products.
Uttar Pradesh (UP), one of the largest states in India, has seen a good rise in the sale of fully loaded trucks. Although unit sale of trucks in the state dipped by more than 61% last calendar year as compared to the year before. 2014 is proving pro-business as the commercial transportation industry is looking at reviving the growth rate.
Eicher is aiming to grasp some more market share in the Light and Medium duty segments, with its Pro 1000 and Pro 3000 series of trucks. VECV has a strong chain of Service centers and parts retailers, which will ease out the wear and tear of its trucks while covering long distances.
